Some remarks about http://www.ipred.org/tempNotes

Piracy

I have problems with assuming that unauthorized copying is piracy. Piracy has to do with bloody killing at sea. It has nothing to do with the subject and the word is an invention of organizations with an interest in exaggerating unauthorized copying, totally ignoring the fact why we have things like patents and copyright. Please explain this in your text or ommit the word piracy. See also http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/words-to-avoid.html#Piracy (wiebe)

Levies on memory

Although levies on CD's etc. are a way to create more income I think we should not only mention it without rejecting this principle. (wiebe)

I am not aware of an official point of view, it is only mentioned as an example that more ways exist than criminalisation. If we then directly dismiss that other way, well, that does not help. (ante)

Subsidiarity principle

It wouldn't surprise me that many politicians don't know what we are talking about. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Principle_of_subsidiarity is clear about it: "The Oxford English Dictionary defines subsidiarity as the idea that a central authority should have a subsidiary function, performing only those tasks which cannot be performed effectively at a more immediate or local level."
